KEFTE DE KARNE

Meatballs

3 slices bread crust removed

2 beaten eggs

1/2 kilo mince meat (beef or lamb)

1 onion chopped

1 pressed garlic clove

Chopped fresh parsley

Salt and pepper

Oil

1 cup flour and 2 beaten egg for covering the Keftes before frying

  • Place the bread under tap water till soft. Squeeze with your hands the water out.

  • Mix well with the mince and add the onion, garlic and parsley, sprinkle salt and pepper.

  • Break the mixture into small balls. (about 15)

  • Dip the balls into the flour and the beaten eggs and fry in a pan till brown all over.

  • Remove with a slotted spoon and place on absorbent paper

Serve warm with rice
