SWEETS & DRINKS
Some of the foods from our childhood are now made available at some speciality stores, been Turkish or Greek or Spanish. But most of the sweets and drinks are only made in the home of the Sephardi's "necocheras". You can get a Marzipan..... but is it the one you remember? and yes you can get a Greek Coffee in some restaurant but somehow a Greek coffee at a restaurant is not associated with the memories of sitting in the lounge after a delicious meal and drinking "KafiKo Turko" and saying: "Kafes Alegre" and who would dare read a coffee cup surrounded by strangers?
